I love a wildflower meadow and native plants. I Look forward to hearing some of the myths concerning natives and hearing about good sources for wildflower seed mixtures which are suited for our area. "Busy Man" take care of yourself!
Ha! Love watching this video of the summer garden as I sit on the beach at Edisto. I too miss my little city garden when we are away! We were out on the Marsh yesterday in our little boat Dayclean. The marsh is so lovely and lush this time of year! So happy to be back in the Low country. BUT It’s always good to be back home ❤️
Jenks, you said the seeding just had to have the right timing. Sometime would you choose a few of your favs and tell the timing to plant? I think I waited way too late.
Susan, we did three different coreopsis species, all from wild seedfarms.com. And we seated them in late February.
The Cosmos we seated in early March.
But I did that knowing that it was very possible frost would get those seedlings and I would have to do it again.
zinnias, and a few other annuals went in late March. But as you know, zinnias love the summer heat and you can seed and recede them all the way into August.
Wonderful video! Looking forward to the next "open farm"!!
Loved getting to see all the flowers especially the crinums. Thanks for the video.
