One of your best yet, Jenks. (They just keep getting better & better.) If the book is even half as good as these posts, you'll have a winner! Can't wait to read it.

The book is going to be great with stories like these on substack. I would much rather hear about all your adventures and mishaps personally from you instead of some biographer who didn’t really know you. You can make a mishaps something fun to read and to laugh WITH you. I like your down to earth writing and with the style you write, I can just hear you telling the story in a matter of fact way.

You are blessed to have these old stories available to you, and in your father's handwriting. Memories bring about blessings all over again.

I so love the old stories. How wonderful you are writing them down and creating a keepsake for future family to read and enjoy. It those stories who help us to remember who we are, where we came from and where we're going. As for your dad's stories, you should (if you haven't already) have them scanned and put on a flashdrive or CD - it's always good to have a backup !! Thank goodness for those folks who care enough to preserve the past - good, bad, indifferent - history is a great learning tool - plus, its so much fun to remember. Well done !!!

honestly, i think short stories flow from me better than the long format. this book is my first time writing anything like it...interconnected stories, novel form. We'll see.

Yes, I will back them up. They are on google drive and at the moment, I'm under the lazy illusion that that is permanent.

A new book in the works? As long as there are Southerners, there will be stories.

There’s a lot my growing up stories in Funky Little Flower Farm. But not so much of the Farmer/Bryan stuff from before me. IDK if I could do that...

No it’s not too early and yes your stories NEED to be told, written, read, etc.

I noted one misspelling - indescrections.
