I just knew it was going to be a critter! Ha! I had a similar thing happen on the way to my daughter’s rehearsal dinner after working all day at Riverbanks botanical garden on floral designs for the wedding the next day. It was raining cats & dogs as my faithful sidekick sister & I were racing down I-26 to the Seibels House for the rehearsal dinner.

A battery operated radio was somehow turned on and it was too far back in the car & wedding preparation mayhem tools & supplies to reach easily. I offered my sister a shiny quarter to get out in the rain at the stop light to turn it off but she declined.

I should have realized that since you are alive to write the story it wasn't a rattlesnake, but you really had me going there.
