Disturbing Landscaping Trends 

While working on the coast this month, I've seen disturbing examples of what most people think good planting and landscapes should look like. Everywhere. I mean everywhere there's bad pruning, suffocating mulch, toxic lawns, and constant attempts at control. South Carolina's nature is renowned and has been for centuries, so why the desire for and the acceptance of landscape domination? 

Sometimes, I want to throw up my hands and go home to the farm.
